Rose Osiria Bumblebee    David and Liz
Hello, my name's David.

Hello, my name's Liz, short for Elizabeth.

I live in a house with four bedrooms.

I live in a flat with three bedrooms.

We eat breakfast in the kitchen.

We do that too.

We have a dining room and a lounge.

We have just one big living room with a table at the end.

The television is in another small room.

Our T.V. is at the other end of our living room.

The carpet on the floor of the dining room is blue.

We have a green carpet in our living room.

I have painted our bathroom pale pink.

You do your own decorating do you?

Mostly!

My husband is too tired when he comes home from work.

Our front door is black and the back door is white.

What colour is the settee in your lounge?

We have a dark red settee and also two armchairs to match.     Bumblebee

 Rose Osiria Bumblebee    Cooking

Does your wife like to cook?

Yes, she does! She likes making cakes and scones.

I like to make meals from different countries.

We went to Italy last year for our holidays. I love their pasta.

So do I.

We are having some friends for dinner tomorrow.

Is your wife cooking something special?

No, I will be doing the cooking tomorrow.

I'm glad to hear it!

I'm going to serve fresh salmon, new potatoes and salad.

Sounds delicious!     Bumblebee

 Rose Osiria Bumblebee    Moving House

My house has brick walls and a tiled roof.

We live in a block of flats. We use the lift or sometimes we walk up two flights of stairs.

The garden behind our house is quite large with grass and flowers.

We have a tiny area at the back of the flats where we grow vegetables.

That's handy! I love fresh vegetables.

We will be moving into a small house next month.

Where is it?

Just outside the town. It will be better for the children.

Yes it will. I suppose they will have to change schools.

No, I'm glad to say! In fact they will be able to walk to school.

That's good. It will save on bus fares or petrol.     Bumblebee

When speaking we often link some of the words in the sentence so that they sound like one word.
We often link consonant sounds such as v, d, s, r, m, with the vowel sounds a, i, o.

Listen to the sentences below and notice how the letters in blue are linked together.
