This programme of lessons has been prepared by a team of ten qualified professionals whose first language is English. Each member of the team has at least one university degree in the arts or sciences and four have Masters degrees, one in Linguistics. One member is a university senior lecturer in English and another is a teacher of English as a foreign language. Other members of the team have university degrees in Drama and English, Psychology, Law, Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, Biology and Environmental Conservation. All members of the team have worked together to ensure that 'Speaking English' gives you practice in speaking in "received pronunciation" (or Received Standard), the form of spoken English based on educated speech in southern England.     Bumblebee
